OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
FIX is our family business. Nicola is a qualified interior designer and experienced tradesperson, Liam is a trained surveyor and experienced project manager. So how did we get to offering services to you?
Me before you…
We both have had a passion for construction for our entire adult life, our first encounter in fact was on a building site- how romantic! Our early years together included lots of dust, cement and saw dust, as well as long cold days in the UK weather. Our projects began in the UK and at times took us overseas too but we have many enduring constructions and happy memories from this time as a young independent couple.
Growing in number
After a numbers of years of marriage, we decided to settle down in North Wales and start a family. Our employment shifted towards positions more suited to the demands of a young family life but our affinity for design and renovation remained. During this time, Nicola completed her qualification in Interior Design and Liam developed his understanding of project management and the product design process. In time, we realised these were skills that we could use in new ways.
A New Chapter
In 2024, after many years of working in the UK construction and design industry, we made a family decision to relocate to Malta – Nicola’s ancestral home. Although our surroundings changed, our professional roots remain firmly in the UK. Along with all our bags, we packed our same standards, experience and work ethic.
Building for the Future
The move has really benefited our business of FIX. We have been able to grow as a modern, online-first service: high quality interior design and staging expertise delivered remotely, without the overheads of a traditional studio. This has meant our UK homeowners get premium guidance at a far more accessible price. The results speak for themselves!
